Make Peace

This is my favorite part of Mondays… beckoning the lovely on Zebra Sounds. This week’s assignment was to “make peace.” And so I did… all over the place.

Out of laundry...

Out of laundry…

Out of paperclips...

Out of paperclips…

Out of (homegrown!) cherry tomatoes...

Out of (homegrown!) cherry tomatoes…

Out of rocks (lower left)...

Out of rocks (lower right)…

in the sand...

in the sand…

(Gotta love the symbolism...)

(Gotta love the symbolism…)

Out of... me!

Out of… me!

I had so much fun making peace, and I beckoned some extra lovely in the process…

Okay, okay, I’ll stop! But believe me, I spared you. I have SO many pictures of my peace-making week. Silliness and beauty were both in great supply!

Up next: Make out. (I know. Yikes! Can’t even imagine what I’m going to do for that one.)

How awesome! All of the pictures are great, but I think my favorite is the cherry-tomato peace sign. I don’t know why, but I feel certain if everyone else in the world could see this, we would have peace. Or at least a finer appreciation for tomatoes.

    Have fun making out! ;-D

I liked the one out of laundry best. Especially since when I first opened the page I thought it was made out of sunday toppings. sprinkles, hot fudge…..

Great way to make me smile on Monday Morning.

Truly lovely photos and peace making!
I just love those cherry tomatoes and the coast line is amazing, I’d like one to the back “yard” of my house.
Actually if the second one isn’t possible I’ll take the first one too, I’m not that high maintenance 😉

Christina, I’m thinking a finer appreciation of tomatoes might be the first step to a more peaceful world. We could be onto something here. 😉

Karen, That would have been very cool – a peace sign out of Sunday toppings! Feel free to do it and send me pics. In fact, it would be cool if everyone “made peace” and sent me pictures. Hmmm… maybe a collective art project is being born…

Estrella, You made me laugh! And reminded me how lucky I am to have both cherry tomatoes AND the SF coast nearby. (Not to mention colorful paperclips!)

“Get involved”. I hear it all the time. “Take time from your day to help another” is a comment I also hear often. But there is always that feeling of “Where should I start??”

So, in the spirit of VOLUNTEERISM, just let me know when I should meet up with you for next weeks “beckoning”!

Yep, just call me Bobby The Good Deed Doer — Mr. Civic Responsibility — Like a good neighbor… — etc. etc.

Bobby, I’m so touched by your generosity! Yay you, Mr. Civic Responsibility! I feel better already. =)

Thank you for that very sweet spot in an otherwise bittersweet day.

I hope someday it is as easy as this, but until then, you have made a good start.

PS: 15, 44, 71, ~35 (none of these are good skippers by the way), and finally zero or a gazillion, depending on your perspective.

    you are just… awesome!

  10. judy on September 29, 2009 at 8:28 am

Wow, Kid, that was like a puzzle. (Wouldn’t have gotten it without “the skippers” sentence.) I am not going to count the tomatoes to make sure you got that right though! 😉

    Peggi, Right back at you.

Carey, It’s therapeutic making peace everywhere. I highly recommend it.

I am glad I caught up with this blog finally today and did not miss this entry. Maybe my favorite one of yours ever?
Adored the homegrown cherry tomato peace sign..yum..yum…and the noticed the artfully placed bra in the laundry peace sign….

  13. judy on September 29, 2009 at 9:07 am

Tina, It’s an artfully placed bathing suit, actually. (I’m not daring enough to artfully place my bra!) I loved doing this post. So happy you loved it too!

Somehow the week got by me without partaking in your lovely posts; but I’m back and this one was so worth the wait.
If peace is a state of mind you’ve brought me there… you’re so talented and creative! as always
    I am in awe!

Mairi, Thank you! This was fun. I’m trying not to worry that it’s Friday night and I still have no idea what to do for this week!
