My client commissioned this for his 70th birthday. My client commissioned this for his 70th birthday. He wanted the lyric (which he wrote), a musical theme, and a hippie vibe. I'm so happy with how this came out, and more importantly, so is he. He told me what made him think to commission me was that I'd posted how much I love creating art that celebrates the life of the person who receives it. It's day 67 of my 100-day project, lettering phras It's day 67 of my 100-day project, lettering phrases that are personally meaningful to me. This one is from an essay I wrote years ago. In it, I referenced an article by a hospice nurse, who said that, at the end of people's lives, they never talk about their professional achievements or failures, instead they remember who they loved, and who they wish they'd loved better. Their regrets, she said, are never about the work they didn't do, but rather the love they'd lost, or withheld, or wasted.
